Uwe Wittwer (1954) is the primary Swiss representative of contemporary painting. A rich selection of his works from the last 15 years impressively shows the formal quality and sensuality of Wittwer’s art. Like Warhol, Sturtevant or Levine he uses art history and photography as sources, but the central topic of his paintings and inkjet prints is the ambiguity of memory.
