Fernanda Gomes (Rio de Janeiro, 1960) develops her work in close connection to the space in which it unfolds and that she intervenes throughout a significant period of time. For her exhibition at Museo Jumex, Fernanda produced works—or as she calls them, “things”—that enter into dialogue with the specific conditions of Gallery 1. By understanding the exhibition as a singular time-space, the assemblages experienced by the visitors are unrepeatable. This book published in the occasion of this exhibition is yet another assemblage created by her, working closely with artist and photographer Ramiro Chaves, as photographic documentation.
