The volume - catalog of the exhibition scheduled at FMAV in Modena and at the Ulster Museum in Belfast - is the first monograph published in Italy dedicated to the Northern Irish artist Willie Doherty, known internationally for his photographic and video-installation work. The catalogue, in Italian and English, includes critical texts by Anne Stewart (Ulster Museum), Daniele De Luigi (FMAV) and Declan Long (National College of Art and Design, Dublin), which contextualize Doherty's work, focusing in particular on the centrality of the concept of border in his work. The volume also presents all the works (photographic and video) exhibited in Modena and Belfast, giving ample space to the work created specifically for the exhibition, the video installation Where / Dove, of which the complete transcription of the evocative and disturbing text is reported.
