Adrian Paci opens striking installation at the MUDEC Museum, Milano

"Il vostro cielo fu mare, il vostro mare fu cielo" features 250 backlit photographic panels, depicting fragmented sea images from news stories of migrants lost in the Mediterranean.
By magnifying portions of the sea, Paci erases contextual details, creating an immersive, 360-degree mosaic that reflects the sea as both a space of tragedy and hope. The installation invites reflection on migration, connecting personal and collective memories while challenging conventional narratives through evocative visual storytelling.
