Zilla Leutenegger

Overview

Zilla Leutenegger has made the most of the her exhibition at the Bündner Kunstmuseum in Chur, she took time for a conversation. Many works are installed, projections cast shadows on the walls. The paintings, that still have to be hung like paintings, but are monotypes. The artist applies colors and lines to foil from which they are printed on paper with a weight of 16 tons onto paper. "I am a drawer," says Zilla Leutenegger and pauses, as if that explains everything.

The exhibition is set up as a large continuum and can be experienced as a whole: As a tour through interior and exterior spaces with various insights and views. It integrates older works and combines them with completely new works that are shown here for the first time. A comprehensive monographic publication will accompany the exhibition.
