The paintings of Andriu Deplazes are colorful and strange. They take the viewer into a world in which surreal elements and fragments of everyday life combine to create dreamlike scenes. The trees glow, the flowers radiate and only the human bodies do not join in.
In the midst of the competition of colorful cheerfulness, they seem pensive and indecisive. Thus, despite the colorfulness, the works of Andriu Deplazes are always surrounded by a touch of melancholy. A visual experience that gives pleasure and at the same time makes you think.
Körper, Blume, Wasser, Gras is the first solo exhibition of Andriu Deplazes in Germany. The exhibition is accompanied by a publication with works by the artist and texts by Kathleen Bühler and Julian Denzler.
